The bike is almost ready! Today I finished changing the glass in Tiger’s Speedo and Tach. Sun rot I cleared up WAY back with some sanding and polishing. Left them looking frosted but visible. But sun rot in plastic is like a cancer or pervasive mold. It just keeps coming back. Even after the first cleanup it had become so sun rotted that it was opaque and my gauges were useless to me. I had fresh lens gut from 1/8″ glass. Replacing with actual glass vs plastic should solve the issues with rotting plastic. It was a little rushed of a job so I didn’t handle anything cosmetic, just function. I’m quite satisfied with the end result. Maybe just from missing being able to see my speed…
